Stockholm is the capital and largest city in Sweden. The city is also residence Stockholms län administrative region. Stockholm in 2009 had a population of 829,417 inhabitants (2,019,182 in metropolitan area).

Located at the intersection of Lake Mälaren to the Baltic Sea was originally a fortress which has gradually expanded to the mainland and surrounding islands. Do not forget the famous Vasa Museum, where the Vasa ship combat, once considered the pride of the Swedish fleet. The museum is built around this vessel seventeenth century, carefully restored, which sank in Stockholm harbor in 1628.
